River's Edge in Fall: Hudson River
I have painted many images of this particular parkway from different perspectives and in different seasons and, incredibly enough, it is now fall again! I loved this view of the parkway because of the contrast between the flaming orange ailanthus leaves and the green of the willows and parkway overpass. A pier and the New Jersey shore appear faintly in the distance, shrouded in fog. This painting was recently selected for the Changing America's show at the Maryland Federation of Art gallery in Annapolis. Oil on canvas, 24"x24" gallery wrapped.
