Roosevelt Island Oasis

This view felt to me like the very essence of summer, with grass baking under the summer sun and strong contrasts of light and shade.   I also liked the view of the city rising in the distance - visible but not intruding - and the dusty path seeming to lead to the sunlit bridge.   Oil on canvas, 24"x36"
